Our senior project was a multi-level story that used the internet and our knowledge of CG to perpetuate a story of 5 graduating college seniors and 1 buggy robot. It was a 20 week project that involved video shoots, webwork, copywriting, computer modeling, motion tracking, rotoscoping, post-effects and a blog. Essentially this was a story within a story which was aided by information which provided backstory that could make it potentially plausible. This was further enhanced by the exploitation of low-quality internet video which had started to become more common due to the existence of YouTube. We had aimed the story mainly to fool our parents but in the end fooled a good portion of the 300+ in the auditorium for our presentation. Unfortunatley the website of the parent company has been taken down and no longer exists (Frontier Robotics) but the Blog remains alive and well.
